So Sick of Being a Slave I became an Internet Entrepreneur

I was so sick of being a slave to the whims and "great" ideas of other people. Whenever I applied for jobs the employer wanted to see qualifications. So I would present these certificates, diplomas and degree. They wanted fresh thinkers who are self motivated and all that other cliched rubbish.

When I would start working for these clowns I would be continuously reprimanded because they only wanted things done one way and one way only. What good are my qualifications then? A monkey can be trained to do as they are told. I've even taught my dog to do certain things on command.

The other aspect I was sick of was obeying every command and not setting a foot out of line through fear of being fired. I always felt I was walking a thin and dangerous line.

Because I'm a bit of a rebel I decided something had to change. So I started a website for online fitness training. This is my area of expertise. Oh and what a fantastic failure that was. The web host was hopeless and the site kept going down and eventually all my hard work was ruined when the host pulled the plug on all their servers, which sent many other businesses down the you-know-what.

I was jaded by this whole online mumbo jumbo. It seemed so unstable. But then I read many stories of people who make a living entirely from the internet. They seem to be successful and they do it without the headaches that I initially had. So I did a bit of research.

After reading some very amazing stories of internet entrepreneurs building stable businesses, I decided to give it a go. Skip forward a little while and my site is growing in traffic by 1200 percent every quarter and with the increased traffic comes increased income through affiliate sales and Google ads.

I write what I am passionate about, I do it in my own time and no one at all tells me what I have to write. It is truly a lot easier than it can sometimes appear to be. The illusion most people get is that if you build it then visitors will come and you'll make a fortune. It's not that simple. It takes a bit of time and effort but if you are consistent it will gradually build and make you a lot of money and provide immense freedom.

There is nothing that can describe the freedom of working online in your own time. I mean there are those that work for themselves and they have to constantly work and work or they will stop making money. This is a lot like being an employee. Then there are stable online businesses that take their time and do it right. When you take your time, build value and take all the right steps you can leave it for a time and come back to it while still making money. That's what I love about it. I have friends who have done the same things and they go to places like Peru and leave their site alone for weeks and get home to an increased bank balance. How cool is that?

The point is, I have never in my life experienced so much personal freedom as I have recently while working as an online entrepreneur. I don't even sell anything of my own so there is nothing to manage. I just create content that people want to read and make money through affiliates. It's pretty simple really.
